I recently worked with Maaya Indian Kitchen & Bar in Milton Keynes on a new set of visuals for their updated menu and ongoing marketing.

Located in The Hub, Maaya is known for its modern take on Indian cuisine, combining traditional flavours with a refined and contemporary presentation. The goal of this project was to create imagery that reflects that same level of quality across their website, social media, and promotional materials.

The Approach

The focus was to build a clean and consistent food photography direction that works across all platforms.

The shoot included:

  • single dish photography for menu and delivery platforms

  • banner style hero shots for the website

  • social content for Instagram

All dishes were photographed on a white base and then carefully refined in post. This allowed full control over lighting, tone, and composition while keeping the food completely true to the original.

Visual Direction

The direction was minimal, modern, and premium.

We introduced:

  • soft neutral textured backgrounds

  • controlled directional lighting to create depth

  • subtle props to support the scene without distraction

  • clean finishes with refined reflections

Each image was designed to sit together as part of one cohesive system, so the full gallery feels consistent and elevated.

Content for Marketing

The final visuals were created to be flexible and easy to use across different platforms.

This includes:

  • website banners

  • menu imagery

  • social media content

  • campaign visuals

Alongside individual dishes, we also created hero compositions featuring multiple plates, as well as drinks and desserts to complete the full visual set.

Outcome

The result is a clean and cohesive set of visuals that presents Maaya as a modern, high quality restaurant in Milton Keynes, with a strong and consistent visual identity built around the food photography.
